Saint George Phase II

This phase is approximately one mile in length and begins at the intersection of Military Trail Road and Chapman Road on the east side of Saint George.  It starts on the South side of Military Trail Road for a short distance and switches over to the North side of the road for the remainder of the phase.

Saint George Phase I

This phase is approximately one and one-half mile in length and begins one-half mile east of the Saint George city limits.  It parallels Military Trail Road on the south side.  Portions of this phase includes bridges from Old US 40 highway from 1928.

Wamego Phase I

This phase starts at the intersection of Military Trail Road and Railway Road and is approximately one and one-fourth mile in length.  It parallels Military Trail Road on the south side and continues to Bluebird Road.

Alternate Wamego Phase I

This phase starts at Railway Road and Military Trail Road and is approximately one and one-half mile in length.  This phase utilizes an old county road that was once used to reach a river ferry.  It also parallels Military Trail Road but runs further south than Wamego Phase I.  It continues to Bluebird Road.

Wamego Phase II

This phase starts at the intersection of Military Trail Road and Bluebird Road and is almost two miles in length.  It also parallels Military Trail Road on the south side.  This phase continues to Ruth's Lane at the Wamego City Limits.

Wamego Phase III

This phase is within the city limits of Wamego and starts at Ruth's Lane.  At this time this portion of the trail includes two-lane bike striping on Fourth Street to the intersection of Fourth Street and Lincoln (Hwy 99).

When the WAM-SAG-MAN Trail is complete it will connect with the Linear Trail trailhead on the East side of Manhattan.  Linear Trail (www.ci.manhattan.ks.us/DocumentView.asp?DID=2382) is over nine miles in length so the combination of the two trails will provide over 25 miles of trail.
